About The Artist:
Samuel Rampelt is a visual artist and Designer passionate about Storytelling. He works both as an illustrator and designer in both traditional and digital illustration media–including pen and ink, watercolor, gouache, and digital software like Procreate, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Blender, AfterEffects, and digital animation software. Samuel’s artwork centers on drama and the conveyance of emotion and atmosphere. Samuel’s work has been exhibited at Woods Gerry Gallery (Providence, RI), and he has worked with a varied array of clients, including The Providence Athenaum, The Newport Preservation Society, Reformed University Fellowship, Charlesbridge Publishing, and Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop. Samuel has experience working in professional print design as an Assistant Designer at Charlesbridge Publishing, as an Art Director for Cornerstone Magazine (A literary arts magazine at Brown/RISD), and as a freelance designer, producing marketing posters and original children’s books. Samuel has a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design with a minor in Art History and Theory. Samuel lives with his wife in Providence, Rhode Island, where he enjoys drives to the coast and beautiful historic streets!
